Affiliate Marketing
This is quite possibly the easiest way to just sit back and collect money. Again, this will not get you rich quick, but it is possible to make easy money with little effort. All you have to do is have some place (website) to put some ads. Google AdSense is most likely the easiest one of all. Simply follow this link and your on your way. The key here is to have an interesting enough site to create the traffic needed to produce the results. A very detailed explanation of this program is available from Google, but the short story is you get paid for people clicking on the ads that your page contains.
A slightly different way of doing this through Amazon. This one takes a little more effort, but IMO, it has the potential for greater earnings. Go here and you can sign up and get more info, but I'll break this down real quick as well. If viewers of your site click the link to get to Amazon, you will be credited for a percentage of the sale as long as the purchase a product during that session. You can even get more involved and create your own Amazon store. Again, this comes with more effort, but if you set it up well, the potential earnings are great.
There are a lot of affiliate programs out there, you really just have to look for them. Visit a site daily? Check the bottom of the home page and see if the have anything there. Chances are, the sites you visit most often will yield the best results as it's obviously something that interests you and probably has some relation to your own site. It's just selling ad space, it doesn't really get much easier than that.

Make an instructional video
Do you know how to do something? I'm willing to bet you do. I'm not talking rocket science either, these can be simple things that at least one person needs instruction on. There are many ways to profit from your videos. First, you can create a website that offers subscriptions to view/purchase your videos. This can be tricky as more often than not you will need to somehow be established to get people to actually pay for it. If you have the resources and the talent, this can be a worthwhile option.
YouTube - heard of it? They have a great partner program that will actually pay you for submitting videos. The catch is that people actually have to want to see these videos. You may have to stray from the "instructional genre", but it's all good, be creative. A lot of the partners are just short movies made by complete amateurs. Get paid for surveys???
You've probably seen these everywhere. "Complete this survey for a FREE gift card!!!!" Well, we all know that these aren't 100% free, there's always "participation required". There are a few good sites out there that actually give you the opportunity to get some extra cash in your pocket. My personal favorite is Cash Crate. How do you get there you ask.... http://cashcrate.com/723238 is a sure fire way to send you on your way. There's a lot of great things about this site. First, I've put in approximately 30-45 minutes of actual work today and my total earnings for the day is just over $20 ($22.30 to be exact). That's not a bad hourly rate. Keep in mind that you can really buckle down and pound out surveys and registrations like a madman and probably double what I made. That's the great thing, I was just bored today and decided to make some leisurely money while watching movies. If you so choose, you can make this your sole activity and really bump up your hourly rate.
In addition to actually completing these offers on your own, you also get a referral bonus. That's right, you sign people up and have them do some offers and you make even more extra money. But wait there's more!!!!! (sorry slipped into infomercial mode for a second) Really though, on top of the bonus you get for your referrals, you also get money for your referral's referrals! So you not only get paid for what you do, you get a portion of what TWO other people do. Tell me that's not the American Dream.

Welcome to my blog. If you've made it this far, then you're probably a lot like me. By that I mean you're looking for safe ways to make some extra money on the side and not get screwed over. I originally started looking for some extra cash by doing a google search. The problem is, most of the hits are the typical get rich quick schemes. These often come with significant (by that I mean at least $100, which is a lot for most college students) price tags to get you started, with no guarantee that there will be a payoff.

My biggest setback for trying any of the techniques is the fact that I don't know anyone else who has actually done it. Well, I'm slowly starting to branch out and you'll find that most reputable sites will have some sort of forum with members who share the same interests as yourself. In short, these methods will actually work for you and there is minimal risk (most often you're paying with your time, not your money). Don't believe me?
